Please note: THIS IS A REQUEST! We will our best to fit you in the day/time of your request but it is not guaranteed until you receive a confirmation email. Thank you for your understanding.
Being a curator for a day allows you to shadow, assist, and participate in activities with one of the PHS employees. You will learn hands-on what it takes to not only work at, but to care for a sanctuary full of animals. It can be hard work, but can also be quite rewarding! This one-on-one experience is unique and gives a rarely seen look behind the scenes of a reptile sanctuary.
- $300: 3 hours of volunteer-based work and shadowing our animal care staff, 9am-12pm or 10am-1pm
- Additional $50: 1 hour tour of the facility
- If you purchase a Curator for a Day package for a person under the age of 12, an adult must also accompany them throughout the entire day.
- We suggest bringing a sack lunch as well as plenty of water, sunscreen, and work clothes.
A Curator for a Day package can be the perfect holiday, birthday, anniversary, or graduation present for the reptile enthusiast in your family!

Testimonial:
Good morning Alex and Katelyn,
I just wanted to follow-up with a massive thank you to you guys and Casner for our amazing Curator for the Day experience last Thursday. Casner was absolutely amazing, he was so knowledgeable and passionate about all of the animals and was so good with my 10-year-old nephew. Those two just talked and talked about snakes and lizards and turtles! As my nephew said at the end of the day, "I don't think I will ever have that much fun again in my life!"
This experience is unlike any other, to have a full day one-on-one with a curator seeing all the animals, feeding them and holding them, was just amazing. My Nephew loves snakes and being able to hold and interact with so many beautiful ones was such a neat experience. We came all the way from Prince George, BC, Canada for this day and it was very much worth it, we could not have asked for a better experience! I have attached a few photos of Casner and my nephew throughout our day. - Tannis
