Who are we:
The Phoenix Herpetological Sanctuary is the southwest’s premiere zoological facility dedicated to instilling a sense of active stewardship for our planet’s reptiles and amphibians. We are a close-knit family of animal people whose collective goal of preservation, education and appreciation is evident through the multi-faceted nature of our facility and our work.
Social media is integral part of our efforts to educate the public on how to responsibly co-exist with our state’s herpetofauna, and to share the captivating world of herpetology. Our sanctuary has recently begun a campaign to capitalize on the influx of video sharing platforms and has made great leaps in establishing our brand of 22 years online as a virtual presence.
As a part of this internship, you will collaborate directly with our sanctuary’s Videographer and Outreach Director in planning, drafting, producing and publishing content that will vary from promotional outreach to engaging updates on our animals, services, and facility.
